Beaver Scouts (6-8)

Beavers are the youngest of our five sections, with the core age range being 6-8 years old.

As with all sections, the age range is flexible so a young person may be able to join a Beaver colony up to three months before their sixth birthday, depending on how full the colony is. Similarly, if they are almost 8, a young person may wish to join Cubs instead of Beavers.

Our Beavers experience the full range of what Scouting has to offer, being introduced to outdoor adventures, creative activities, trips to local landmarks, sleepovers and even camps! They do all this in a fun, friendly and safe environment.

Beavers can feel a sense of achievement through earning challenge and activity badges, and can work toward the Chief Scout’s Bronze Award – the highest award available to a Beaver Scout.
