Monifieth at the Homeboree
This past weekend (25-26 April), Monifieth Scout Group discovered the great indoors by being part of Rosyth Scouts’ Homeboree.
The camp started with the building of a shelter or pitching of a tent – either inside or in the garden. This was followed swiftly by Mission: Survival – a host of activities including, making a backwoods tracking course, filtering water and cooking kebabs. Later came a code-breaking murder mystery, a family quiz, a virtual campfire and a breakfast cookalong (eggy bread)!
The group also had checkins every few hours via Zoom to share their activities and keep in contact.
This looks like it was a great event and everybody involved enjoyed themselves.
